We’re in the final stretch of 2023, and if you find yourself absorbed in the holiday hustle and bustle, let’s take a moment to pause and reflect.
Reflecting on financial behavior at the end of a year can be especially illuminating. What obstacles did you face this year? What lies ahead in 2024? Consider whether you’ve adequately saved for emergencies, retirement, or other financial goals. Assess your risk tolerance and asset allocation to ensure they align with your objectives.
And sometimes it’s what DOESN’T happen in a year that matters most. For example, did you resist the temptation to act on your emotions that accompany rising and falling markets? It makes a difference. Did you keep your eye firmly on your long-term goals? Staying focused helps you succeed.
This week, I’ve included a few articles that can help you wrap the year up right and set your mind to what’s ahead. As usual, if you have any questions about your strategy, or tasks to complete before the end of the year, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Wishing you all the peace, joy and excitement this season brings!
